Fenland Fisheries ~ The Professionals Choice

Fenland Fisheries was established in 1984 by Director Mike Hawes when he purchased 16 acres of disused gravel pits at Earith, Cambs. The majority of the site is still run today as Day ticket waters with a retail aquatic shop supplying Koi Carp and pond equipment on site.

In 1994 Julie Hollyer Joined the company and established the Wholesale Division. This branch of the company now supplies ornamental Koi, pond fish and a range of aquatic related dry goods to around 100 Aquatic stores throughout the U.K.

Fenland Fisheries Ltd has grown significantly since the early nineties and has now acquired additional angling waters and growing on ponds. The retail store has also seen significant expansion stocking a wider range of products and a much larger ornamental fish holding facility.

In the year 2000 Fenland acquired a couple of 2-acre ponds for growing on carp to service the large carp (15lb +) market. This project has now grown to 8 ponds totalling around 20 acres. Our sister company Premium Carp is now recognised as a front runner in the Carp Trade supplying strong extremely fast growing carp to the Angling trade.

Fish Health and Husbandry

Our reputation for stringent health checks and excellent fish husbandry is recognised throughout the world. All stocks here undergo health testing by the relevant authorities plus regular comprehensive testing carried out on site, together with a fully documented quarantine program. This ensures all fish are in prime health before leaving our site.

Here at Fenland Fisheries we pride ourselves on our world-wide reputation for fish health and husbandry. All of our staff are highly trained professionals who always put the well being of our livestock first.

Visitors to our Earith site will find an extensive aquatic retail Store selling everything you need for a garden pond. We have a massive selection of fish, pumps, liners as well as stocking fishing tackle and bait from all the major suppliers.
